Turning Back Time

It's Throwback Thursday--the day when I dig out an old picture to share. This time I really dug deep, like about 60+ years and found a picture of me when I was a flower girl at a cousin's wedding. I guess I was somewhere between three and four years old. My husband says I've been known to still get that sour look on my face when I'm mad about something! (I have no idea what I was mad about that day!) The picture was damaged, but I thought I'd share it anyway.

Hi Eva,

Well- I quit facebook. At least temporarily- I agree with you not quite trusting the site! I may cave and go back, haha! I don't know! I'll let you know if I do. I love this picture of you. It is precious. It is funny our expressions don't change much from when we were young.

What a sweet picture of you!!! You were a gorgeous little toddler! My eldest daughter always seems to have a scowl on her face in pictures, she said to me not long ago ''Its like I was never happy when I was little Mom'' I said ''You weren't'' She gasped and looked a bit shocked ''Nope, every time we got the damn camera out you were miserable'' lol! xx

That's a "Where's the cake???? I put on the dress because they promised me cake", face if I ever saw one!!!!

I adore old photographs, particularly ones in black and white - they're just so timeless. I agree with Mzbehavin - that's definitely an if-I-don't-get-some-cake-soon-there's-gonna-be-hell-to-pay look. Love it!

Cunning; I think you're onto something there..I thought that was a pretty weird headpiece when I looked at that picture too!

MCVal: thanks for the link!

Mizbehavin: You know, to this day, I don't care for cake; it probably goes back to a bad experience that day!!

I love it, Eva!

No doubt your outfit is accompanied by white patent leather shoes over white socks with the cuff turned down (anklets? Bobbi sox?).

I think you're just darling--then AND now--'sour' face or not. ;)

Peace, love and happiness,

I love this picture. I would definitely want to be a friend to this little girl and hear what's going through her head at this moment.

Also loved your Marilyn post -- very funny.
