Silent Sunday: Somewhere in Maine.

Somewhere in Maine, a fellow named Bill was standing on his deck which is 2 feet off the ground.  Bill is 6 foot 1 inches tall and weighs 250 pounds---just to give you a little perspective on the size of this female moose!  I'm not sure I would be brave enough or insane enough to get this up close and personal!

That's beautiful, in an insane sort of way. :-)

When I was little, my dad was driving our Model something (T? A?)car and halfway home, in the snow, we were faced-down by a moose. Quite a memorable experience.

By the way, that was sometime in the 1950's. I'm not THAT old.

WOWWWWWWWWWWWW! How did he know she wouldn't bite? Do moose bite? I know they're huge and will kill you if you run your car into one. Wow! That's a great photo!

OMG, I had no idea they were that huge! My nephew in New Hampshire hit one with his car a few years ago, (or rather, the moose hit him!) and it TOTALED his car; now I understand why!

Yikes! That is a great picture, Eva. I don't think I would get that chummy with a big ol' moose!

Northern Exposure! No, I would not get this close to wildlife.
We used to be food.
We could still be food.
Though, we don't smell much like food.
I bet we taste terrible.

Very cool picture. I am very surprised the moose came that close to a human.

How terrifying! But the moose looks friendly! So its kind of sweet.

That's a great picture. Knowing the details like the deck being two feet high makes it even more real. That moose (cute little moosette) is a big gal huh.

That is the greates photo ever!! Im in awe over the size of the moose..I honeslty had no clue they were that large!! Are they normally pretty friendly when you meet up with them?

This picture is a keeper!

Oh my gosh that is INSANE! And so neat! I couldn't even imagine. My parents live in Northern WI and they get bears coming through their yard quite often but a moose would be so neat.

I love that pic. That's awesome. My daughter would love to see a moose up close. But for now she has to stick to her stuffed animals!

AWESOME!!! I saw this in an email I got from someone earlier this week!
We have moose here in the U.P. of Michigan and I have waited and waited and waited to see one in the woods and get a photo of one.
Guess WHAT??? About an hour ago, I DID!
I will be posting it on my blog next week so stay tuned!!
