Throwback Thursday! Johnny Carson, June 1965

Someone sent me this UTube video of a show Johnny Carson hosted at the Kiel Opera House in St. Louis, Missouri in 1965.   Talk about memories:  the late Johnny Carson, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and Sammy Davis, Jr., all on the same stage.  And I never knew Johnny Carson could sing!  Enjoy!  (Of course, some of you will be too young to remember these guys, but us old folks loved them all!)

Have I really reached that age when I can say, "I remember when?"

I think I heard him sing a couple of times before. I'm certainly of an age when Johnny Carson was IT!

I was 4 when this originally aired. I do remember the old black and white Johnny Carson episodes. Sometimes, when I was sick, my mom would allow me to stay up and watch The Tonight Show with her. He was so funny! Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Oh, and you gotta love the Rat Pack!

I just realized how the group influenced each other, same style with various variations.

Thanks Eva. I loved those guys.....It was/is refreshing to see singers that were[still are ] entertaining and very popular...that did not spend the evening grabbing their crotch!!And you knew the words!

To think they're all gone? How did that happen?

Yaya: 'fraid so.

PJ: I watched his show often...never saw him sing.

Blue: Although I did enjoy Jay Leno in that spot, no one came close to Johnny for sheer entertainment!

5th sister: There has never been anything again close to the RatPack.
