Housecleaning Hint!

I have to do come cleaning and cooking today; not my favorite activiities.  Actually, I don't mind cooking, much, but cleaning...yuk!  As I was thinking about what I have to do, I remembered a post from last summer on the topic; a "How to. . " as I recalled.  Knowing that I'm probably not the only one out there that likes to learn ways to make those household jobs easier, I decided to repost it--to remind myself of the time saving tips and make them available to my readers as well.  A couple of my regular readers may recall seeing this before, but for many, it will be news.  So, here goes:

I hate housework; it's another of my serious flaws. Obviously, when I find a way to do things easier or faster, I'm delighted. I found a helpful tip on line this morning, and it was simply too much of a Time-Saver not to share it with you.

How to clean a toilet:

1.  Put both lids of the Toilet up, nd add 1/8 cup of pet Shampoo to the water in the bowl.

2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.

3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close the lid. You may need to stand on the lid.

4. The cat will self agitate and make ample suds. Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this.

5. Flush the toilet three or four times .This provides a 'power-wash' and 'rinse'.

6. Have someone open the front door of your home.Be sure that there are no people between the bathroom and the front door.

7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift the lid.

8. The cat will rocket out of the toilet, streak through the bathroom, and run outside where he will dry himself off

9. Both the commode and the cat will be sparkling clean!

Sincerely,

The Dog

I hope this was as helpful to you as it was to me.  Have a great day!

OMG, Eva! Now I've been humbled by a post that made me laugh out loud. I'm giving up on trying to make funny posts, I'm in the presence of the Master (Mistress?).

That's perfect! I actually am one of those freaky people who likes to clean, but NOT the toilet - so this is exactly what I need!

Nezzy said...

This was the best. I am a cleani' fool. One might call me an addict but I'm laughin' so hard I'm gonna have to run or change my bloomers one! Heeeheheehe!!!

God bless ya'll and have a glorious day!!!

Well, it wouldn't be hard to get my cat into the toilet. We always keep the seat down but it never fails when we have guests over someone leaves the lid up and down goes the cat.

Aleta said...

LMAO - I needed that laugh on a Monday morning! Any tips like that for cooking? (I'm good at cleaning, but definitely not a cook!)

Bahaha! Evil woman.

This reminds me of years ago my friend and I wanted to bathe my long haired cat. I had her hold the cat while I got the shower nozzle. It was a better idea in principle than in reality. She still has the scars. Cats + water = no effing way.

As a cat lover, I feel I must complain. I now know I must once again acquire a cat to 'help' with such chores. Since MY WIFE is allergic, you will be responsible for the break-up of my marriage. Thanks a lot, lady.

Hubby and I are planning on getting a cat from the shelter soon. I will give it some thought.

DJan: Glad I made you laugh!

Susan: I live to make your day!

LMJ: Does this mean you're going to be cleaning your toilet soon?

LoveMyDog: Your welcome!

Toilet: It works, according to the dog!

Nezzy: Oh, no! Didn't mean to make you change your bloomers!

Stereos: Then you're half way there!

Aleta: I'll work on coming up with some cooking hints.

Kristina: Hey, if it cleans the toilet, I'm in!

Veg: Occasionally you see one that likes the water. I think I saw one on UTube who loved the bathtub!

Suldog: Oh, no! I didn't plan on being a homewrecker!

Techno: Might as well get some use out of the cat!

Steven: Be afraid, Kitty; be very afraid!

Holly: Sorry, mine's busy cleaning our toilets!

Helene: Glad I could make you smile!

Together: I used to like cats, but then I developed an allergy..It was easier to give the cat away than to constantly take medication.

Is the lenght of the cat's fur a defining factor in how clean the toilet (and the cat) will become? My three furdevils are very short-furred, so I'm worried their fluffitude will not be enough to provide a clean enough result!

Louise said...

That's hilariously, magnificently and stupendously funny. The cat that's currently sitting on the kitchen table as I hold my sides and squeak is looking alternately at me and at the various escape routes. He looks worried!
