Silent Sunday: Shameless Promotion

I am using today's post to promote my son Jason's online business. He started this business in a corner of his livingroom in Scottsdale, Arizona about 7 years ago. He moved hisfamily back to Maine 3 or 4 years ago and out-grew a corner ofhis living room; he out-grew his den, and has since built a huge garage in which he finished the upstairs into an office. Now his wife works with him full-time. They've hired another full-time employee a little over a year ago, and sometimes utilize their oldest daughter or his sister-in-law as additional part-time help.
Can you tell I'm a proud Mom? The name of the business is 4 x 4Group Buy.com, and he sells parts and accessories for 4-wheel drive vehicles. His started this business as a hobby, so he could "trick out" his own Jeep Wrangler, and has grown it to where he is one of the largest (if not THE largest) online retailer of Rubicon parts in the country.
He has his Jeep decked out so he can do crazy 4-wheeling stunts like this. He can go through 3 feet of water with his rig. He took me with him once in 4-wheeling once in Sedona, AZ and I must have sprouted at least 25 more gray hairs! If you or anyone you know has a Four Wheel Drive Vehicle and is look for parts or accessories--anything from lift kits, to tires, winches, you can find it at 4x4 Group Buy.com ; just click on the link and you'll be there!

They are soooo cool. We have a 4 wheel drive for the desert but nothing as glam as that... If I lived anywhere closer I would be dropping by for sure. Good luck for his business :)

Eva, this fits so well with my last post when I mentioned that my mother was my biggest fan.
What a wonderful tribute to your son. I just wish I knew someone who four wheels.

Wow! Now that is a success story in this economy. Great that it's going so well. And four wheeling looks quite exciting, not my cup of tea, but if I know of anybody into it I'll send them his way.

I pooed myself just looking at him in the jeep tilted sideways! I think you are brave beyond brave and how could you not sprout some gray hairs?? But in the same token... How could you not be bustin' some buttons off knowing your son is doing what he loves & is thriving in the process. Sedona? Wow I bet that was awesome! Hugzzz!

I love when you can actually see your dreams getting bigger right before your eyes.

Should anyone ever ask me for fancy 4wheeling advice, I'll know where to send them Eva!

Well! Not compensating you for the promo! What a son! (Meant as a joke...)
Now, on a more serious note... I'm always so glad to hear about someone who has made it on their own! Congratulations to your son and his family! (And that means you too!)
And was he laughing as you rode with him?

DJan: It can be exciting and funny (when they are mired in mud!)

Gayle: Thanks! I appreciate it.

Stevenz: You're right: I am a proud Mom! And his Jeep IS pretty cool!

LilleDi: He has all kinds of scary videos on his facebook page. and Sedona was gorgeous!

That's excellent! You must be very proud! It does look very scary!

Blueviolet: I rode with him once; usually I only get to see the videos after the fact. But those are scary to watch, too.

Mrs.Blogs: Thanks so much. It is amazing..he even ships to customers in Australia, New Zealand, England, Spain, Brazil, Japan, Daktar--you name it! all over the world!

Lucy: He fed us Thanksgiving Dinner, and occassionally buys us dinner at a restaurant, but there are no strings. lol
And yes, he was laughing his butt off at me as I was sprouting gray hairs riding with him!

Aren't we supposed to shamelessly promote our children? Of course we are - we're the Moms! I left a little something for you on my blog - stop by and pick it up when you get a minute.

Wow. I am sure it is fun, but as a mom I would freak out knowing my kids were doing that. It's wonderful to know that you support him and stand behind him like that!

I would be like you if I was his mother...I wouldn't want him to tell me any of the stunts he does in those machines!! ha

Where does he get his bubbly enthusiasm I wonder? Good to know about the business, should I need to purchase those big tires.

That looks craaazy. But great for him! I don't know anyone with one of those puppies, being a city kid (statute of limitations on my using kid as a descriptive is up, but anyway...) Good for him. I want to see more videos, but if I were you I'd have my eyes closed. Vroooom.

Sa-weeet! I don't personally have a Jeep, but I live in a part of the country where 4x4s are the #1 selling vehicle around, so I'll be sure to pass on the word! (Plus, I'm married to a firefighter, and those guys have more toys than any man should be allowed to own!) And congrats to Jason for sticking with it and becoming so successful!
