Maine Women Blowing Their Tops

Well, it's happened again... another march for gender equality in Maine.  You may recall a while ago I ran a post  about Toplessness in Maine.   If you missed it, click.here .  Well, this week a student at the University of Maine in Farmington, Andrea Simoneau, orgainized a similar march in the small college community of Farmington.

Once again a couple dozen females decided to drop their tops an a nice sunny day and this time march through downtown Farmington, Maine.  There were mixed reactions.  One lady ran around trying to hold up a blanket to shield those dangerous duos (pairs of boobs!) from the helpless crowds, all the while ranting that the women were degrading themselves.  A man in his sixties chose to shed his shirt in support and march with the ladies.

Michael Heath, Founder of the American Family Association of Maine says, "The promotion and presentation of public nudity is a staple of the homosexual rights movement."  I'm so glad he cleared that up for me!  All this time, I thought these ladies were marching for the right to tan their ta-tas if they choose; sweat without shirts if the temperature tempts them.

It all makes sense now!  They are baring their boobs so that those dangerous homosexuals out there can get married....yeah, that's it Michael!  How could I ever have missed the connection! Duh!

So glad you posted this, Eva. I, too, was confused about the reason for baring the boobies. How silly of me not to connect that to gay marriage! Of course!! That makes perfect sense!

Okay, my understanding is the right to bare chest like men. Right? Since men can show their nipples, women should too.

I'm slightly conflicted. Boobs and gay have nothing in common. And men don't have janglies on their chest that bounce hither and yon, okay some men do, but that's besides the point, I wonder though I'm not sexist in any way, but why do woman feel the need to expose their boobies? I know that its been a long running debate between equality between men and women, bottom line is though for me, where's the class? I mean, you don't just go and expose your boobies or vajay jay to kids and country folk a like, why would you want to?

I think it should be moralized. ya know what I mean?

But then on the other hand, I have no problems lookin on at a set of boobies, in the right place of course!

He probably thinks Iraq is about the Homosexuals too.

Actually, it could be, who knows what the hell that damn war is about?

Seriously though, what a douche. But my, those are some brave breast-baring ladies!

I happened to stumble across the protesting naked cyclists in Covent Garden last year - a real sight for sore eyes I can tell you!

Last year a bathing house/swimming pool place (I don't really know the name for it, but where there's a public swimming pool) anyway, last year one of those places decided they would be open to women bathing toples, at all times, when ever they felt like it. It's an indoor swimmingpool so that basically means all year.
Awesome!
Then the negative critique poured in, mostly by young men feeling that they shouldn't have to be subjected to old womens breasts (young perky breasts were always welcome). I mean wtf??? Why do we have to look at old mens hairy chests and beer bellies? It's really sad that women are always the sexual being only there to please men. I thought we had moved further than that.

I loved reading your post, I'll be spreading it around for those who feel women should cover up.

I should've added that I live in Sweden and this is where the bathing house (one not all) has a new standard of allowing barebreasted women

I thought of you when I saw this on the MSN home page a couple of days ago, but I never knew it was in support of gay rights.

How ridiculous can people be? At least it's not as bad as those...PEOPLE...(I'm being nice) from that Kansas church who protest soldier's funerals, on the grounds that they died for our country which supports gay rights. I would think that group would not even want to LIVE in a country that "supports gay rights;" may I suggest that they go live in a country that believes the same way they do, maybe Taliban ruled?

By the way, I couldn't help but notice all the MEN taking pictures in that photo...and that one guy with his camera focused right up on her ta-tas!

Eva: That Michael guy's leap of logic is the funniest thing in the world -- or at least it would be if it weren't so tragic. I guess you've gotta' laugh at the idiots out there. (There are so many of 'em.)

That being said -- I think I'll stand up for what I think is right without going topless -- not that anybody would notice or care anyway ;>)

Now I've got that Elaine Stritch song "Bounce Your Boobies" running through my head. If I'd just known that all I had to do was flaunt the girls to assure equal rights for gays, I'd have bared them ages ago!

All I know is, I can barely stand watching my own girls sway in the breeze. People need to keep their girls indoors, gay or straight. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :-)
