Sundays in My Neck of the Woods

This is where I'd like to be today:

Cole Farms is a diner about 30 minutes away in Gray, Maine, that specializes in comfort food.  You can get meatloaf, baked beans, a boiled dinner, almost as good as your mother used to make.  Check out the prices on their specials below.

My favorite happens to be their fried chicken-in-a-basket!

Maybe a fresh bake roll or two to go with it.

Followed by a piece of coconut cream pie---

Or maybe a gooey hot fudge sundae!

But instead, I'm home resting, eating soup, trying to get rid of this freakin' pneumonia!   Will somebody, somewhere have a hot fudge sundae for me???

I would gladly go and eat that whole meal for you! I had family who lived in Maine when I was a kid and it was my favorite place to visit. I wish they were still there, because your blog reminded me of all the little places we'd stop at.
Hope you're feeling better. Thanks for stopping by my blog today too!

I looked at this post with my husband and he cat-called at the food, "Aw Baby, that's what I want!" Quit tempting my hubby with food. I can't compete.

Rose: I would like that Sundae too. Doesn't that chocolate sauce look awesome??
