WTF Wednesday!

Okay, I had the earache in the ear with no feeling which resulted in a stiff neck, a backache, and chest pain.  I did the emergency room in the middle of the night, thinking I was having a heart attack.  That turned out to be a false alarm caused by a system wide inflamatory situation.  Then came the sinus infection and bronchitis.   Now the Doc tells me I have pneumonia!

WTF!  Did I really piss off the wellness gods or what????

I'm on the verge of having my social security check direct deposited to the pharmacy, or at least invested in Pfizer or Merk or some other pharmaceutical manufacturer, since I'm single-handedly keeping them in business!

"Drink plenty of fluids and get lots of rest" is advice I'm getting tired of hearing!  Especially when the meds can't be mixed with alcohol!  And I'll spend most of my day checking for side effects!  WTF?Enough already!

Oh LOL at least you still have your sense of humor. But seriously, I do hope that you feel better soon.

If it makes you feel any better, I once thought I had the flu but my chest got to feeling so heavy that I could not breath well and got scared so I had the hubby take me to the ER "just in case." They of course said it was "too early for the flu" and insisted on keeping me overnight for observation, saying the symptoms sounded like a heart issue. They ran all the usual tests the next day, and turned out my heart was in GREAT shape! Well, at least I got that good news out of the trip, but overnight I had to BEG for a Tylenol to reduce my fever!! I am certain now it was the flu.

Aww Eva, you have had it rough. I hope you feel better.

My nurses orders are as follows. Drink plenty of water, take all of your antibiotics until they are finished, (don't save any to use for some random illness that you will get 2 years from now like so many morons do) and for God's sake use this diagnosis to get out of having sexual relations for at least 2 weeks.

Actually, deep breathing is good for pnumonia, but whatever. What your hubby doesn't know won't hurt him.

Hope you feel better soon. I have most of the same symptoms. I am Miserable with a capital "M". I have the sore throat (feels like razor blades) the sinus infection, earaches, congestion, body aches. WTF, indeed!

Hi Eva! I am so sorry you are having some health stuff going on. Boy! can I relate to that! It sucks. My heart attack the day after christmas was just the beginning of my health problems! It hasn't stopped. I hope this is the end of it for you and you are feeling back to your alcohol drinking self soon! Ha ha! I am right there with you on direct deposting your check to the drug stores! My Lord are pills expensive! Feel better soon my friend.:)

I'm sorry to hear you are under the weather. I hope you feel well soon. I can really relate because I had pneumonia when I was eight and the memory of the pain lingers. Just breathing was unpleasant to say the least. I had to take penicillin shots for three weeks. Sometimes I wonder if the side effects of medication are worth getting rid of whatever they supposedly cure. Best wishes.

Feel better soon. I've just caught a nasty sinus infection. I'm headed to my doctor this afternoon.

Sorry gal! Wish I could make you feel all better soon.

Don't read the side effects. If you do you'll decide the illness is better than the possible side effects.

:-) I just noticed you sold Medicare Insurance...I did too back when Part D first came out. Worked for Community Care RX. Good times!

Steven: Thanks for the kind wordsQ

Jen: I will keep that in mind, Sis!

Glen: I will do my best to rest. Sitting in my recliner with my laptop resting right now.

Debbie: I guess my problem isn't as serious as yours was, but I agree, pills are expensive!

So sorry to hear you are feeling like crap, Eva. (I have a way with words, huh?)

Glad your ER trip was a false alarm for the heart attack. Now it's your turn to kick some serious pneumonia butt and knock it right out of you. I am sending you a straw and a gallon of Yankee moonshine that doubles as paint remover.

You're welcome.

Man, reading over the comments, it seems you have a lot of sick friends. I hope you ALL feel better soon.

loveanswer: I've noticed a little improvement after 3 days on meds. Fingers are crossed.

kablooey: Yeah, there seems to be a lot going around. I hope we all feel better soon, too,

Deb: Looking forward to that gift! If it will remove nail polish also, I might start painting my toenails! Thanks for the kind thoughts.

Surely we are related. Perhaps we should check our family trees.......If one more thing breaks on me I'm pretty sure I have to be scraped and crushed. But, frankly, I'm looking forward to the prospect!

There's nothing quite like the feeling of a-middle-of-the-night ER visit. So I hope this finds you feeling better.

I am soooo behind,Eva...we had company over the 4th of July week and then have been very busy renovating an old house across the street from us pretty much full time, so I haven't had any time to read blogs. I am just reading this on July 14th. I am so sorry to hear you were so sick. I assume by newer blogposts that I just caught (and now I am going from older to newer posts) that you have fully recovered.
