Where Are They Now?

Have you ever wondered what has become of our childhood favorites?

Well, Barbie Doll has her 50th birthday this year!

Tweety bird is is 60 years old!

And there's our childhood super heroes!

                                                                       Superman

                                                              Thor

Wonderwoman (a touch of menopause here, you think?)

                                                        Batman and Robin

                                                                  Spiderman

Looks like this aging process is getting us all!   No one is exempt!  Least of all, me!

know, they shoud market that Barbie - she's a lot more like the typical American woman than that buxom blonde beauty they've been touting for 50 years. This one should come with creaking knees and elbows, orthopedic shoes, support hose and Playtex 18-hour bra. Accessories could include a refrigerator filled with Lean Cuisine and Breyer's low-fat ice cream, and a Hoveround.

Oh, yeah, I think we're onto something!

Hilarious.

I want to look like the real Barbie forever. I wonder what her secret is? Obviously, she's into plastic.

And I just noticed your white ribbon in the corner of your blog. Amen, I say. Everyone deserves equality. It is what our country was founded upon.

Funny! At least I know that I'm not alone. It was a sad day when I had to retire my Wonder Woman bra. Sigh.

Hi Eva,

Found you over at Tracy's "Pay It Forward Series". I'm so glad she chose you as one of her features. It's not every day that women over 45 get the opportunity to speak our minds and be heard. Obviously, a lot of people are "listening" to you! Brava! You have a great blog and I look forward to visiting often. I'm new to this, but I'd love it if you'd stop by and say hello sometime. Barbie made me laugh right out loud!

Peace,

Martha @ http://a-real-upstate-ny-wife.blogspot.com/
