I Skipped Good Luck Chuck

I was going through some old photos the other day and I ran across the one that was taken when I was testing for the movie, "Good Luck Chuck" a few years ago.   We did some filming, but I backed out and turned down the part because I thought it was too racy for me to explaine to my grandkids.

Jessica Alba ended up in the part, and I'm glad for her.  I really wasn't comfortable filming all those bedroom scenes with Dane Cook, realizing that my grand kids  would someday watch it and say, "Memere did that????"

I know, the money would have been nice, but I do have my standards.  It's not like back in the days when I was a body double for a certain famous actress.   Back then I was single, had no kids, no hubby, and no grand kids to influence.  Times change and sometimes you have to sacrifice money and fame for the greater good.

My first thought was that money isn't everything. Funny how we get wiser as time goes on.

I had no intentions of seeing the movie but... I would have if you hadn't thrown away all that fame and fortune just to be a good example to the grandkids.

Nice to know there are some people who turn down roles because they choose values over money. Wow!

You so would have been a star;)

So glad you made the choice not to star in that. Who wants to be associated with such a turkey of a movie? Wait for the big bucks and the bigger names. Please, Dane Cook? You're too good for that. Gerard Butler's looking for a new love interest on the screen.

I don't know about everyone else, but I think Jessica Alba's got NOTHING on you!! Somewhere, right now, Dane Cook is crying in a dark corner, still mourning over what might have been!!

Thanks, as always, for the great laugh, Eva!!

Oh Eva, you are always good for a laugh. And so serious about it always!

Jen: So sorry you choked on your coffee...better watch the multi-tasking. Drink or read blogs, not both at once.

Nick: sometimes you just gotta do what you know is right!

Nicki: I hope I'm a good trip! lol

Steven: Thanks for the vote of confidence! lol

Glen: Only believe half of what you read, remember!

Racy or not, you have to realize that your Grandkids would be so proud to tell everyone you were in a movie. Besides you are much better looking than Ms. Alba. Okay now I've gotta go take a cold shower. Get your mind out of the gutter. It's 88 degrees here :D

You clever lady. Thanks for the chuckle. And Alba's got nothin' on you!
