New Word Wednesday #9

Every time I comment on a website where I have to type a word verification to get my comment posted, I can't help but think, "What a waste! What could possibly be a very helpful word is now going to disappear and never be seen again." With all the attention being paid to "going green" in this country, I think it's time for bloggers to go green and recycle the letter combos used in word verification. (I personally did away with the process to eliminate the waste of words, but some people just aren't as conservation minded!)

I decided several weeks ago to start a meme called "New Word Wednesday", thus creating a dictionary of new words based on the letter combos that pop up in the word verification process. You may feel free to do the same, or to grab my words and use them. (You know, if you use a new word three times, it's in your vocabulary forever; at least that's what I've heard) Just think, we can learn new words and go green just by recycling/reusing the words that show up at comment time.

Here are this week's words:

backbipl: a type of acne on a person's back that resembles a nipple; as in, "Henry had a backbipl which made him the butt of jokes in the boys' locker room."

cardshil:  a person who pretends to be a novice poker player in order to get others to play; as in, :"George has a new job at the Casino as a cardshil."

clarizz:  A frizzy hair condition caused by excess use of Clairol or some other brand of hair coloring; as in:  "Did you see Martha's hair?  She has a serious case of clarizz!"

disivent:  the act of expressing one's dissapproval of people who put others down, as in:  "After listening to Barbara's constant critizism of her coworkers, Marilyn felt the need to disivent."

pulflo:  a medication which regulates pulse rate and blood flow in the body; as in, "The Doctor recommended that Harold take a pulflo to stablize his condition."

There you go!  Feel free to incorporate these words into your vocabulary!

I've got a serious case of the clarizz right now, not from hair coloring products but from continually deciding that air drying my hair is good for it and conveniently forgetting that no, air drying equals frizz magnet. :)

Hey Eva, Thanks so much for voting for me at yesterday's Blog War! It was a very tough challenge and just so you know I hate nose hairs in real life! Yuck! Haha!

I can't make mine as funny as yours..I tried but failed this week as i didn't seem to get funny ones. I got 'plopyo' which sounds like a Greek 'toy'. Marge decided it was time to inject some fun into her marriage and got out the 'plopyo'.

I have some serious clarizz right now. I gotta get to the salon. Love your wacky words!

P.S. Did I see a tweet or two yesterday saying your granddaughter was on Ellen?

Yeah, those backbipls can be irritating . . . and painful.

Poor Henry.... :D

I wish using the same word more than three times would work for me. Learning French wouldn't be so hard. I need to use it about 40 times. Sigh.

Have a great day Eva.

This is going to be your ticket to...
When you get there, remember I said so first.
Now, I got to go take that pulflo or I can't remember much of what I already told you.

Yup, clairizz here, too.

What a funny idea. I'm never going to look at them the same way again. I'm going to start collecting my own so I can join your meme.

Veg: Well, then it's not true clarizz, it's just frizz. lol

jdracecar: Really? I thought you were serious and were probably planning on braiding the next nose hair your came in contact with! lol

Deb: You really have to watch out for those!

Terri: No...Ellen Show called and she might be, or at least a video of her might be...naming the elements....It's on UTube and has had around 80,000 hits.

Outofmymind: You are not alone in that, believe me!

thank you, Eva, for setting us "straight". I always knew there had to be a name for my morning hair-do besides " bedhead"!!

Every once in a blue moon I get a backbipl and it's hurts like a mother tucker!
