True Confessions

The photo I submitted won the best photo of the year 2010 in The Retirement Chronicles Photo Contest!  It took first place in the month where the theme was "Fog," and then it was picked as the Best of the Year 2010.  It's sort of like going to the Westminster Kennel Club Show and taking "Best Of Breed" and then "Best in Show."

The truth is, my husband (or as he refers to himself, Mr. Eva) took this photo, and I cropped it.  Since he doesn't have a blog, I submitted it.   He hasn't taken more than a dozen photos in the 28 years we've been together,  and this is the only one that turned out so well!  I didn't mention it before, because I never expected it to get so much attention.  There were so many excellent photos submitted.

But now that it is in the limelight, it's time I gave credit where credit is due....at least that's what he keeps telling me!  So if people want to disqualify the photo from the competition, I'll understand.  (But Mr. Eva would be heartbroken!)  People without blogs were not excluded from eligibility, so I hope there won't be a problem.  Kudos and accolades for this shot, however, belong to Mr. Eva--not me!

Congratulations, Hubby!  You did good.

Wow, that's a wonderfully atmospheric photo, tell Mr. Eva well done indeed. Also, I hope he/you don't mind but I saved it because I'm always looking for interesting source pics to one day paint. :) I might do this one sometime. Lovely.
