Winter Storm Warning

Well, here we go again....Snow, sleet, and rain.
This winter has been rough.  I think I've had enough.
If I had the cash, I'd be in Key West in a flash!
All this snow and ice and cold are so beginning to get old.

I wouldn't leave to stay.  I'd be back home by May.
I'd just like to keep my knees out of this freezing breeze;
To enjoy a little sun until our  freakin' winter's done.
Then I'd drive right back to Maine until winter cones again!

Shoot...we're on official snow watch out here in San Francisco. Haven't had snow here in 36 years! It would be WAY more exciting if I hadn't grown up crotch-deep in snow in Ohio.

HI EVA! My BFF moved to Leeds and is now working in Portland -- I give her a year -- being from the South she isn't used to snow -- though she loves Maine, and who wouldn't?? Keep warm...

if you didn't wear those mini skirts, your knees wouldn't be so cold. put your pants on!

Oh, this is just so totally funny. I'm going to bed so very late this morning, as couldn't go to sleep until the tornado and straight line winds finished trashing the area I live. Thankfully all is still well at this household, but down the street isn't so lucky. Just remember, Key West has those hurricane thingies, lol.

No snow here in Texas, but I would be raising my mittens if I was up there. LOL, love your forecast.

BTW - WAY TO GO on proving your daddy wrong and getting that college degree. You rock!

I thought this was supposed to be only 2 inches. Now they saw 4-8" expecially inland, where I am.
I don't have the luxury of water front living like Saco or Portland do!

Things could be worse----tsunami, tornado, hurricane! We get to make snowmen and snow angels!!
The sad part is-- if we only had spring and summer weather equal to our winter weather

Even down here (my vacation) in Southern Cal. there is a snow alert, down to 500 feet. These folks don't own coats at all. They walk in tennis shoes all year.
I guess we better appreciate any sign of warmth if and when we can get it.

Stay safe.

SO SO SO thankful we only have rain...and a warm one at that! The wind still howls, but it's not so cold!

For Utah, our winter has actually been OK. But we are supposed to get a big storm today. Boo.

Come on down to Charleston, SC and visit us- we're in the 70s and saw 80 one day. It's HOT!

Jane: Snow watch in San Fran? That just isn't right!

Clipped: But those hurrican thingies usually come at the time of year when I'd be back in Maine, anyway!

Jen: Yeah, yeah, I know...could be worse, Sis.

Ronica: At least you don't have to shovel rain, huh?

Brrrrrr. We're getting down into the 30s tonight and maybe snow by morning. I didn't move to Vegas for 30s and snow.

I love your poem about snow sleet and rain. Wow you must be brave to take it so well. As far as I am concerned, I can use some sunshine. It is pouring here in NY.

That's the one thing about Maine I do not miss. How freaking cold it was. I remember when it snowed on Good Friday (Good Friday!!) in 1994. As I looked at my snow-covered driveway, I screamed at the sky and shouted, "I am NOT shoveling any more snow, do you hear me!?"
I then jumped into my truck and slid down to the street.
On the other hand, we didn't have an air conditioner and never needed one. Maine summer nights are wicked great!

Glenn: Me, too!

Terri: That's a bummer!

Tam: And we're due for more on Sunday and Monday!

So sorry about all the snow. The Northeast really seemed to get hit with a lot of snow this year. Stay warm!

From the number of people from Maine down here in Florida (I'm visiting my sister), I would think you don't have any neighbors there right now! I hear the Maine accent everywhere in this retirement community.

Tam: Yes, we are somewhat buried!
