Time for a Rerun

The post I had planned for today absolutely had to have photos; they were key to the post.  Since yesterday, Blogger was not publishing my photos, I decided no to risk having that one appear without the key photos.    I decided I would repost the 3rd post I ever published--it had no photos.   Much of what I said then is still true today!  (I'm going to add a meaningless photo to this, just to see if it publishes.)

This whole blogging thing is totally new to me. In someways it seems narcissistic to suppose there's anyone out there interested in reading my thoughts. It's also somewhat cathartic, and I say that with full realization that one of Webster's definitions of the word is "evacuation of the bowels." That being said, I guess you might compare this exercise to written verbal diarrhea! (no coincidence that some of my entries reek!)

If I am guilty of pollution of the blogosphere, I apologize. Please make allowances for the fact that I now have loads of free time and this is one thing I can do that doesn't cut into my social security check. (Welcome to life on a fixed income! ) It wasn't meant to be a fixed income. But then the bottom fell out of my (and a lot of other people's) 401ks and tapping into that prior to a market comeback would be a no-win situation. I keep thinking that as long as I don't touch those funds, I have a shot at recovery. . . If I live long enough!

So...since I can't afford that trip to Aruba or much of anywhere else, here I am, blogging. I like to think of it as digital jogging; I should end up with really svelte digits by the end of the summer. I might even drop down a whole mitten size!

I had trouble with photos yesterday and mine needed to be there or my post made no sense. I can relate to your initial thoughts, being relatively new to the blog world. It is a great way to release my inner deamons!

I'm in the same fix as you......if I hadn't gone into teaching I would probably only had my SS. At least I have my teacher's retirement to add to SS (as my investments were cut in half, also).

Enjoyed this post....you certainly got off to a good start.

After reading this, it reminded me of when Sally Field accepted her Oscar for her role as Norma Rae. She said, "You like me. You really LIKE me!"

Guess what, Eva? We really LIKE you! Glad you started blogging!

Eva, you had it down even on your third post!

I can post photos using my Google Chrome browser, but some aren't visible if you then look at the blog with the Firefox or IE browsers. It's a conundrum.

Whatever your reason for starting to blog, you are always a cheery addition to my day.

glad you started to blog eva..
kind of interesting to read about the different reasons, why people started to blog - i started almost exactly a year ago and i'm so happy i did because otherwise i wouldn't have met all those nice and interesting people like you for example...so...blog on...

I really hope I don't have trouble posting photos when the April challenge starts. While not critical to my ramblings (MOST of them, anyway), they do break things up a bit.
I've got two on delayed post already and should have more tonight.
By the way, did you notice you used "evacuate," "bowels," and "loads" in the same post?
OK, going to pay a visit to one of my favorite rooms now.

Laughingmom: My photo problems has been resolved! Don't ask me how; I don't know.

outofmymind: I also have a small pension from the bank I worked for for 12 years.

Facing50: You are so kind! I'm glad you visit! and I'll see what I can do with that word.

Terri: The photo problem is fixed, so anyone who wants to scroll down and look at the pizza photos can!

Jayne: And your posts light up my day and my hubby's!

Deb: I feel the same way about buffets! I want to be waited on!

I figure, most of us visiting each other are over fifty, forgetful, with poor eyesight. Heck, I bet blogger is getting old and worn out too with all of us cackling around the water cooler all the time.

I'm not surprised by anything that happens with blogger.
