It's In The Bag!

Recently I was approached by Bob Shirilla of Simply Bags and asked if I would do a blog about their website and their bags.   Their have an amazing number of monogrammed diaper bags.     I was amazed to visit the website and see the variety of diaper bags available.

This little number has a fleece blanket attached on the outside, is fully insulated to keep baby's bottle warm or cold, has four different zippered pockets, and you can have your name, baby's name, or initials embroidered on it.

This one is very trendy with stripes, a separate insulated bottle holder, and a foldout changing pad.  I was surprised to see that it didn't look anything like the diaper bags I remember!  Today you can be a mom and be stylish!

I thought this quilted one was quite stylish, too.   Any of one of them would make a great baby shower gift!  If you're in the market for one, you need to visit Simply Bags, Diaper Bags!

Those of you out there who know me are aware that I have no need for a diaper bag; my kids are all grown,  even my grandkids are pretty much out of the diaper stage, and fortunately, I'm not yet in need of Depends, so I selected a tote bag to review and feature here today.

My tote came in the mail just the other day.  It's beautiful.  The Classic Tote is black with my initials eGj embroidered in bright red thread on the front.  The bag is 20" wide and 15" high, and the inside thickness width is 5".  There's a zipper closure on the top, a small zippered pocket inside, a bag-width pocket with velcro closure on the outside front, and two half -bag width pockets on the back.  It's water resistant, too, which is a nice plus.    I can see this will be really handy on our next trip, which I hope isn't too far off!

I recommend you check out the Simply Bags website.  You may see something you can't live without!

Simply Bags sent shipped me this bag at no cost to me with a request that I tell my readers about it and  link to their site.  I was not insturcted what to say.  My comments about my tote are my own.

Nice looking tote, bags are my weakness.

They certainly didn't make nappy (diaper) bags like that when I was in need of one. I won't check the website just now, because I have a thing for bags and might not be able to control my impulses.

I like that your bag has a zipper on the top. I am forever dropping my bag only to have the contents spill.

Nice review.

Love these bags! Nothing like what was available when my kids were growing up - I'm going to stop by their site and pick up one for a friend of my daughter.

As always - thanks, Eva!

I like the black bag! May have to check that out! As you may know, I am quite the purse whore......and I'm not one bit shy about branching out either. LOL

My days of needing a diaper bag, like yours, are well behind me. (As I recall, though, we had a couple of very nice ones... they carried enough crap to make an expedition to the North Pole.)

I was crushed when I clicked over to the website and found University of Miami bags but none bearing Miami University's logo. Crushed, I tell you :)

I usually enjoy your posts, but skipped this as soon as I realized it was a paid ad. Won't read those -it's just not bag.

(I'll be expecting a double dose of funny next time -I've smote people for less, you know)

Glenn: They do have camping bags.

Terri: It really is pretty nice.

Canadian: They have an 800 number on their website...I wouldn't be surprised if they were willing to embroider whatever you want on a bag.

IfIWere: I apologize! But really, out of 650 posts (that's how many I've written since I started in 2009), I have written one book review, after having been given to book for free, one product review, after having been sent a free jar of Baconnaise, and this review of a tote bag I was sent. At no time was I told what to write; my opinions were sincere in all cases.

These bags look great. Like Brian, though, I'm glad we're out of that stage. The next diaper bag I want to carry will be the ones I hold for one of my kids when they pull their babies out of the car seat. But, hopefully, not for many many years!

There are some freaking nice diaper bags out there these days. I've found myself looking at them in the stores more than once wishing I had a good excuse to buy one!

Wonder if my Depends will fit in one of those bags.

I think I'm the only one in my workplace who doesn't have one of these, but I'm looking at different styles for my grandbaby!

By the way, how do you get approached by people for a deal like this?!

Deb: Diapers, Depends, whatever! LOL
