A Testament to Strength

The first photos of U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords since she was shot were posted to her public facebook page this past week.
The woman to her right in the photo is her mother, who has every right to look happy, seeing her daughter look so well after all she has been through.

Gabby, as she is affectionately called by family and friends, is a true inspiration to us all.  Her courage and tenacity over the past several months serves as a reminder of the capability of the individual to overcome adversity.

Keep fighting Gabby; your constituents need you.

God bless this fine, strong lady.

I admit I know nothing of her political stands. But my compassion for her is apart from anything political.

What a great time to see these pictures! Following a week of that pompous, arrogant, pervert Anthony Weiner, it does the heart good to see a member of Congress of which the people can be proud.

I don't say this often, but she truly is a miracle, still being alive at all. And she's a fighter, which I always appreciate!

Like "She Writes" said, I am not familiar, nor do I want to comment about Giffords' political views. But I do agree that her story is truly inspirational. And I wish her as speedy a recovery as possible given the circumstances.

What an amazing recovery. I live in Melbourne Australia and when I heard of her being shot, like many others, presumed her wounds would be unrecoverable. How wonderful to see her looking at least well and happy. Thank you for posting those photos.
