Don't Neglect Your Garden!

I know we are coming to the end of spring.  I had cut this out of the local paper to share with all of you and then the excrement hit the oscillator, so to speak, and the ad got buried in the confusion that I call my desk.

Well, I found it today, and decided to share it with you anyway.   Even though it's late.

Now in case any of you are visually challenged as I am, I will type the contents of the ad, verbatim, so that you can totally appreciate it!

"Spring has sprung and every GARDEN requires a little maintenance!

To prevent the weeds from over taking your garden, join us for

Celebrating 5 years of beauty and anti-aging!

***************************************************************

The rest of the ad has the address, phone number, name of the place, and their website.

I apologize to any of you who were ready to jump on a plane and come to Maine to get your weeds whacked.  The coupon has expired.  I know, I know, it is cruel of me to publish this after the expiration date....

I had no idea that weed whacking was an anti-aging activity!  Perhaps I should have thought about landscaping years ago!  But to be truthful, most of my weeds have absconded voluntarily.  Either that or the grass just doesn't grow in the shade!

Looking on the bright side, I'm saving money by not having to avail myself of their services!  Ah, the silver lining in the cloud known as my "garden."

OMG, you never fail to make me laugh outloud!!!!!! Love your commentary at the end!

But, you have to admit, that is one very creative ad!

How's your husband doing???

Ha Ha, I just wear jeans that covers everything. There's no bikinis around here! Hasn't been for quite some time....
I wouldn't even consider letting anyone torture me with hot wax or lasers.

i need to do some yard work...

I just checked out their web site. It's nothing like the ad! In fact their physician, who is a D.O. at Mercy Hospital looks like a straight-laced guy who would have nothing to do with weed whacking...though they say still waters run deep!

Maybe I should ditch the RoundUp for a weed whacking session.

Deb: That's interesting...I didn't go to their website. Weed-whacking sounds like it would be painful!

Jen: Whatever you do, don't post the results online...

Glenn: Awww............did I really make you blush???

There was a time when I needed weed wacking! Now? Not so much! As you get older the hair leaves the areas it's supposed to be and grows where it SHOULDN'T be...like on my chin!

I don't even know what to say here. Really, I can't say anything. Why? Because I am choking on a slice of pizza from laughing so hard at this.

Too funny.

Excellent marketing tool for the saloon though.

Oh that's a riot! I actually appreciate companies with the balls and sense of humor to put ads like this out!

And PS: if it was a matter of not growing in the shade everything below my belly button would be a hairless wasteland!

I'm with you Eva. I'd just rather keep my "garden under the clouds" and save myself all that pain.
OUCH

ClippedWings: Glad if I made you chuckle!

SheWrites: You've got that right!

Terri: My belly is a major shade maker! lol

This advertisement, and your thoughts on it, were absolutely hilarious! I laughed out loud, and this seriously made my day. Stopping by to thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a sweet comment on my speaking Danish vlog post. Your kind words were greatly appreciated!

Good Heavens, Eva! You are too funny! Where are you in Maine? I was born in Bangor, grew up all over the state, graduated from a private high school in Vassalboro (now the State Police Headquarters), and love Two Lights State Park! :)

Kind of reminds me of that horrible razor commercial where the women walk by plants that immediately transform to the same shape as their bikini lines. Funny though.

And the ad that popped up at the bottom of your page: Ortho Weed-B-Gone. So many choices.

That is so funny, I would definitely go there just for their sense of humor alone!!!!

That's hilarious! And I admit, I seriously thought it was a gardening service that's ploy was they only hired women in bikinis!

Very creative. It's amazing the maintenance one has to go through these days to keep up appearances in the garden. Found you at Finding the Funny.

Too funny. I would have died laughing if that ad was in my local paper.
