Let Them Eat Cake

Believe it or not, every one of these photos is of a real 100% cake!  In some cases, I'm sure you'll do a double take, as I did!

A cake fit for royalty, without a doubt!

A confectioners purse, perhaps?

A fitting feast for the person who loves to Barbecue!

 When all they want is a P B & J, a coke, and a few chips!
Hope this frog doesn't get caught in your throat!  You might croak!

Once again, the cake is in the bag--or the bag is in the cake?

When you're sweet on her, and want to commit....

Hey, I say if the shoe fits...............

For someone off to see the Queen!

When nothing but Gucci will do, but it's not in your budget!

there's no use crying over spilled coffee, when you can lick it off your fingers!

For the one whose first love is Karaoke
!

I think that's a New York Yankee cap next to that Nike sneaker!

Maybe  you caught a case of them from someone and need a gentle way to let them know?

Happy birthday to the seamstress in your life!

"Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese. pickles, & onions on a sesame seed bun!"

I'm really not sure what this is, but it certainly is regal!

You can't go wrong with roses and pearls!

How about a Mexican burrito??

Ring in fall with squirrels and mushrooms on a tree trunk.

When you get the urge to give someone the bird!

Another creation fit for royalty!

Ah, Chanel--that's "Cocoa" Chanel, I'm sure!

I'm sorry to say, these photos came to  me on email a while ago, with no source given, so I can't give credit where credit is due!

Which one would you like to stick your teeth into???

All of those are very impressive, especially the cakes that have the pillow shape. I would not like to try to make one of those that would stand up.

OMG! Those are spectacular! Such great detail! I'd love to have a cake like one of those made for me someday. Perhaps one to celebrate my landing on the bestseller list or getting a Nobel prize...nothing fancy.

OMGOSH! I'm gobsmacked. Those are STUNNING! I love the food replicas--burger, BBQ, Burrito. They are all far too pretty to eat!

Oh, and the sandwich...and handbags..and the animals...and the frog (my mom will flip when she sees these). :)

Love LOVE all the handbags! And the pillows and royalty stuff are pretty awesome too.
I had to keep reminding myself they were all cakes. Amazing.

The detail on these is truly amazing. There are some talented people out there for sure. The sewing basket caught my eye.
Have you been to cakewrecks.com?
Wrecked versions of what should be great cakes.

Oh my goodness, I couldn't believe it when I opened this and there was my best friend's niece's cake! Yes, that purple pillow thing right on top! Okay, it wasn't exactly it, because it was her wedding cake, but the only difference was no Happy Birthday on the bottom, one more small pillow on top, and the addition of bride and groom! Otherwise, EXACTLY the same!

Oh, my fav? The sewing one. Incredible detail!

Nicki: I agree!

Frisky: I wouldn't want to be the one who cuts into one of those, but I guess I wouldn't turn down a piece if someone else did the dirty deed!

Terri: It IS hard to remember that they are cakes!!

Those are amazing - although I don't understand the turkey cake. I mean...why?!

It is really amazing when a cake is a better copy of famous brand purses than the street corner knock-offs are!! Wow great compilation - thanks for sharing! W.C.C.

Totally cool. Cake decorating has entered the world of extremes. Love it.

Jen: Thanks, Sis!

Dawn: I try to find different things to share. Glad you enjoy them!

ClippedWings: I would say they sure are extreme! BTW, I still have been unable to comment on your blog...I do read it, though, and try to comment.

It IS hard to believe that they are, indeed, cakes! I would have a hard time eating the hamburger, turkey or tortilla as a cake I think!
