Saying Goodbye to Summer

Well, the kids are back in school, and there's a bit of a change in the air.  Before long that change will become a nip; from there it's just a hop, skip, and a jump to a chill!

This just seemed like a fitting farewell to fair, warm and sunny days!  Best when viewed full screen!  Enjoy!

Maybe we'll have an Indian summer??  We can only hope.

(My thanks to my niece Gail and  UTube for this video!)

What a great song! I'm going to have to buy that and add it to my I-pod. The beach there looks very peaceful too.

I hope we have a longer autumn than our spring. It seems to just jump into summer this year.

The kids started school last week and we just had a four day weekend. But, the mindset for the end of summer is there. I just want to close my pool and be done with it. It's sad.
However, my all-time favorite month of the entire year is October. I may be biased, but there's nothing more beautiful than New England in the fall.
By the way, I think it's called "Native American Summer" now. :-)

Or "Undocumented Workers Summer."
Because they'll take over the seasons that Native Americans aren't willing to take over.

Eva - thank you, I did watch the video and it is the perfect "ode to end of summer".

Gosh Eva - can't believe Blogger shows me as "anonymous"! From my view I have to click and open openid - then sign in with my legitimate blogname (it checks Wordpress to verify - when I have a typo in the name I get an error) I have to click to submit that and then click to submit the comment and hten I often get the word verification - arrgghh (I hate trying to leave comments on Blogger blogs). But I do and now I find out folks don't see any of that (banging head on desk). egads - I'm also signed in with main Gravatar so some folks get an image for me.

AgingGal: I love the cooler weather, too, but not football. And it's beginning to look like I'll be out of luck where Basketball is concerned this year!

hocam: I fell in love with this video and just had to post it!

ceodraiocht: I agree. I just loved the music and the images!

Fall is definitely here this week! It was 48 degrees last night! I do love the fall weather and the colorful foliage. I hope we get to see some before we leave for AZ! BTW, I love the Zac Brown Band!

Don't know whose photos those were but I'm in envy! Actually WE even got a bit of cooler weather behind this Tropical Storm Lee. I was just outside with the pup and actually caught a chill!! Yay! Loving it because just yesterday the humidity was so thick it was miserable.
