New Word Wednesday #46

(Whoops!  I forgot it was New Word Wednesday!  Caption contest postponed 'til tomorrow!)

Every time I comment on a website where I have to type a word verification to get my comment posted, I can't help but think,  "What a waste!  What could possibly be a very helpful word is now going to disappear and never be seen again."

With all the attention being paid to "going green" in this country, I think it's time for bloggers to go green and recycle the letter combos used in word verification. (I personally did away with the process to eliminate the waste of words, but some people just aren't as conservation minded!)

I decided several weeks ago to start a meme called "New Word Wednesday", thus creating a dictionary of new words based on the letter combos that pop up in the word verification process. You may feel free to do the same, or to grab my words and use them. (You know, if you use a new word three times, it's in your vocabulary forever; at least that's what I've heard)

Just think, we can learn new words and go green just by recycling/reusing the words that show up at comment time.

Here are this week's words:

addish:  (adjective)  a person whose strengths lean more to mathematics than toward music; as in, "Samantha can't carry a tune, but she is addish and can calculate a 17% tip on her tab in a second!"

hister:  (noun) a transgendered sibling; as in, "He was my brother Ronald before surgery, but now he's my hister Rhonda."

motlea:  (noun)  a female groupie with the musical group Motley Crue; as in, "Angela's friends are amazed that even though she's been a motlea since the 80's, she's managed to stay out of jail.

rednerrat:   (noun)  a person who knows incredibly embarrassing things about you and is not above relating them at inopportune times; as in,  "That rednerrat Ellen told everyone about the time Cheryl got drunk and did a striptease on the bar in Vegas."

unroan:  (verb) to change the coloring of  a horse's multicolored coat to a solid black or brown; as in, "In hopes of getting the filly a role in the remake of the film Black Velvet, Barney unroaned her by dying her coat black."

Remember, use a word in a sentence 3 times and it's in your vocabulary forever!

You have a gift for this, Eva. This week they could actually all be words.

I'll try to use them today for fun, but hister might be hard.

Eva, your new blog banner is hysterical! (Returning your SITS visit.)

I love inventing new words. Fun, isn't it?

I like addish the best, though I cannot call myself such.

So....if she/he/it HAD a brother, Chaz Bono would be a hister?
Yep, that'd be one helluva Christmas picture.

I think I may even be to old to have been a motlea. Sad.

Thanks for visiting for my SITS day today:) I always find it funny when I get a real word for verification. The other day I had "groin."
