Police: Purse snatcher foiled by pants
BREMERTON, Wash., Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Police in Washington state say a purse snatcher was foiled when his pants fell down and he tripped.
Bremerton police allege the 43-year-old Everett man, whose name was not released, ripped the bag from the shoulder of a woman who was walking with her two children at the Bremerton ferry terminal about 4 p.m. Friday, the Kitsap Sun reported Tuesday.
"As the man tried to run away his pants fell down and he tripped and fell," police said in the arrest report.
The woman reclaimed her bag and the man was arrested while attempting to catch a taxi cab.
Police said the man told the officer he was just "monkeying around" and was only "teasing" the woman. He was arrested on suspicion of second-degree robbery and jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail
The above article comes from a website for odd news called Jockstrip with the incident having been originally reported by UPI.
(the above video is totally unrelated to this post; it was all I could find when I Googled free purse-snatching clip art!)
i'm trying to picture the situation....the guy's all badass and grabbing the lady's purse and running with it and then he's brought to a stop by his own wardrobe! And seriously, his getaway plan is to flag down a cab??? Duh!
I have to wonder if he was one of those guys who likes to wear his jeans half way down his butt, showing the world his boxers? I've often thought those fellas were taking a big risk, prancing around with precariously perched pants!
I hope his mother taught him to always wear clean undies when he goes out; it would be doubly discomforting to not only have dropped his draws, but exposed embarrassing skid marks as well!
Or maybe worse still--if the boxers have a tear or hole in them through which his bare butt bursting through!
There's a lesson to be learned here: Be sure your belt is buckled well above your buns before embarking on a burglary!
(I know, burglary involves breaking and entering, but purse-snatching didn't fit the alliteration!)
