Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays.  I remember it from my childhood as a day we didn't have to go to church, we ate lots of good food, and we didn't have to buy presents!  What's not to love?

To this day, turkey remains one of my favorite dinners, and I'm find myself day-dreaming about those glorious birds!
This one is a little regal.

The coloring on this one is nice!

                             Now that's a tail!

                         What a beauty!

Maybe that neck looks a little too much like mine!

Are you hungry yet?

                          How about now?

Or maybe this is your idea of mouth-watering turkey?

Looking forward with anticipation...
EVA

I'm gonna miss leftovers this year. We are actually going to my mom's this year.
I think I like the stuffing more than the turkey.

Hi Eva!
I'm popping over from SITS! So nice to meet you! I have to say that I love your name...my mom's name was Eva! I'm not a big fan of turkey. I'm more of a ham kind of gal.

Hi Eva! Thanks for the sweet comment on my site today.

I LOVE Thanksgiving and am eagerly anticipating the meal and spending time with my family. You've gotten me even more excited about it! ♥

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and I don't care how ugly the turkey is, I'm gonna gobble him up.
Ahem....
Have a lovely day, my friend!

The last shot made me snort coffee up my nose. Too funny!

And yes, I love Thanksgiving turkey. Gobble, gobble.

Yeah. I'm already a vegetarian. I do miss the taste of turkey though!

i'm more in line with looking at the pretty birdie pictures and then having a drink of the ole wild turkey. no bird eating for me, though it does smell good when it's cooking. maybe i'll make tofurkey this year.

I think birds are ugly, so I'm totally on board with eating them.

I LOVE Thanksgiving! It doesn't have the crazy mania of Christmas, the explosions of the 4th of July, nor the solemnity (or Charlton Heston movies) of Easter.
Food-making my belly big. And I don't even have to go to Chilis.

I feel guilty loving turkey so much when I see pics of, you know, a living turkey. lol They are special birds...

...still, I'm having the turkey. Should be stuffed to the gills by Cowboys time.

Jayne: We're actually going to my son's, but I'm bringing dessert!

Frisky: Sounds like a plan!

I usually admire turkeys for their splendid juicy meat so I was highly amused by their faces and especially the turkey neck which I will now compare to mine too!

I'd rather have the bird than the booze.

The thing is, turkeys are one of the animals who look so much better without a head! Yum!
