Where's My Basketball?

This is the time of year when a minimum of 3 nights per week, I should be lounging in my recliner and watching my favorite basketball team, the Boston Celtics.   It's my favorite sport to watch, and I'm really ticked off about the NBA lockout!  I wish they would just suck it up and find some common ground and make a deal!  I miss  my guys, KG, Paul, Ray, Rajon, Big Baby, and the rest of the team.  This lockout is creating a big void in my entertainment this fall.

So, we went to see the fourth graders play.

That's my 9 year-old grandson dribbling on the right.

And that's him about to pass off to a teammate.

His team lost, this time, but they played hard!

Hey, it's not exactly the NBA, but I have to get my basketball fix where I can!

My younger son was an NBA fan, I don't remember the names of the teams he followed, but there's Michael Jordan in one and Shaquille O'Neal in another, J played himself for a while, but gave it up when he got a job.

I suspect it is just as entertaining as the pros. If only you could bring your recliner!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, Eva!

I just hate it when money takes over sports. Sorry your basketball is missing this season. I'm a football fan, Denver Broncos specifically....so football may as well be missing for as good as we are Not doing. LOL
Your grandson is adorable!!!

We are officially mad at the NBA at our house.

A bunch of chumps.

And that is the best kind of basketball to watch, really (college is pretty good, too).
I do feel for you though. I know how much you miss the NBA. I never thought the millionaires would go through with it. As for me? Once football is over, I look forward to Spring Training. I wish I could get into hockey, but I can't.
But, I just can't get me enough of televised bowling.

i hope they cancel the regular season and have two months of playoffs. it would be the first time in forever where every game actually meant something. the seasons are so long the quality of play suffers. may and june: nba.

I'm sick to death of the NBA walkout. And now they've disbanded the players union. Meanwhile, all the folks whose livelihoods depend on the arena are SOL. And my son has little to chat about without basketball on every night. Worst part? There's not a good enough reason to drive down from Seattle to Portland for the weekend anymore. *sigh*

I have no tolerance for grown men who play a GAME for millions of dollars and then go on strike nor for owners who lock them out. But I really miss my Spurs.

I told my husband yesterday that we're going to have to start going to some high school games.

It's a few years before Our Little Princess is big enough to play basketball.

Aww, that's so cute!

Yeah, I'm annoyed as all get out over this lockout. It's really, really turning fans away.

We have college basketball, at least.

Oh well, just for old times sake: GO MAVS! Waaaah, I miss 'em!

Frisky: It's just not the same as watching the Celtics!
