Carter's Birthday

We celebrated our grandson Carter's fifth birthday over the past weekend.

Of course there was pizza, punch, and  potato chips.  Carter's brother Austin gave him a congratulatory hug!

He was pretty excited over his birthday cake, which was a replica of the tow truck in the kids' movie "CARS."

His big brother Austin,  helped with the candles.

He insisted on changing out of his Buzz Lightyear shirt for the candle lighting!

His cousins Jordan, Lauren, Nick, and Allie all sang "Happy Birthday, Dear Carte," and this year he didn't even cry!

Grampa Dave did a Hi YAH! Karate chop with a huge knife to cut the cake, after the tow truck had been carefully removed.

Cousin Nick clowned around with the party hats, while Austin a nd cousin Allie looked on.

Then he saw the birthday present for which he had been hoping and praying!

His own battery-operated 4-wheeler!  Awesome!

But it was all pretty "ho-hum" to his dog Baxter!
