A Truly Sad Sunday

Left to right:  Kevin "The Big Ticket" Garnett, Rajon Rhondo, Paul "The Truth" Pierce, and Ray Allen
It's the end of an era; they fought hard and well.  They lost in the last quarter.
I love you guys and congratulate you for making it to the 7th game of the Semi-finals.  Your pride, your class, your unselfishness, your intestinal fortitude, and your obvious affection for each other have given us, your fans, so many thrills and so much of which to be proud!  Thank you for an amazing trip in this shortened NBA season.  I'm sure we will see all four of you inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in the future.

NBA basketball. My younger son used to watch it for hours, he loved Michael Jordan and Shaquille O'Neil.
He played himself for a while when he was 13-14.
When the Harlem Globetrotters came to town I took him to see them two years in a row.

I'm a total pair of ovaries wearing frilly bows and a skirt so high that you can see the eggs when I say that I have no idea who those guys...very handsome ones by the way...are.
Gah...I know. Don't hate me.
Now I do know baseball and hockey :)

I love KG. He started his career here and seemed so young...but always classy. Since the Timberwolves couldn't put a real team together, I wasn't surprised to see him go. Sorry, but not surprised.

As they go home to their million dollar mansions and gorgeous wives, I'm pretty sure they'll be able to get on with life. :)

Kidding aside, I know absolutely nothing about basketball, so this is pretty much as good as it's going to get from me regarding a comment.

We were rooting for them all the way, and they have every reason to be proud of themselves.

I loved the interview with their coach afterward. What a neat guy.

=)
