Sunday Soccer!

Yesterday I went to my grandson Carter's soccer game.  He's nine years old and this was his first game of the season.

He plays on a team with mostly ten-year-olds and seems to love it.   With a proud Memere (French for Grammy) watching, Carter led his team to victory scoring 3 of the 4 team goals.  Of course, I was cheering for him like crazy!

His older brother, Austin, plays as well, and Austin is always encouraging him and teaching him tricks.  I'm sure that Carter's skills have been sharpened by practicing with his big brother.

I sure am a proud Memere!

Are you familiar with the Yiddish word "kvell"? It means to be so proud of someone you're going to burst if you don't tell everybody--so go on & kvell, memere!!
